After-school clubs

These care for school-age children after lessons have finished, and usually stay open until around 6pm. Some take place in schools. For others, the children are transported elsewhere. The best ones offer help with homework for older children and plenty of activities to keep younger children busy.

Many different organisations run these clubs, including local authorities and parents’ groups. Ask your child’s school for more information.
