The new deal programmes

Who is eligible?
Unemployed people claiming Jobseekers Allowance are eligible dependant on their age and length of time on benefit. Other benefit claimants are eligible dependant on their individual circumstances. Your local Jobcentre Plus office will be able to let you know if you are eligible.

What is it?
The ’New Deal’ is a range of programmes to help unemployed people move into or return to work. This includes access to a Personal Adviser, and a range of high quality training, work experience and jobsearch support.
