Fiona Hardie

Fiona Hardie left school without qualifications and wanted to get back into learning to find a job.

Despite illness and a chaotic home life, Fiona took up a number of courses at Abbeytext in Arbroath and at Angus College.

Fiona has gained qualifications, which have increased her self-esteem, improved her well-being and opened up a wide range of job opportunities.

She volunteers as a part time administrator at a local furniture recycling project and was elected by fellow learners as the student representative on the learning centre’s planning committee.
