Janet Mosson

Janet Mosson worked on a production line for 20 years to help support her family but became seriously ill and was made redundant.

After she was unemployed for a year, her bus driver husband told her about learning opportunities being advertised on the TV service on his bus.

She went along to the Wise Group to take an office administration course and gained a computer qualification in six months before moving on to take a SAGE course at college.

Now Janet has a permanent post and is still learning – this time doing a touch-typing course using her ILA Scotland funds.
