Janice Osborne

Single mum of three Janice Osborne wanted to provide security and be a good role model for her family.

The former shop worker took a course in social care and now supports disadvantaged and vulnerable people in her community on a voluntary and professional basis.

Her success has prompted her teenage children to get into learning.

Thanks to learning, Janice has changed her lifestyle, increased her confidence and been able to do things that she never thought she was capable of.

She is a befriender and first aid trainer at East Dunbartonshire Volunteer Centre.
