The Training for Work Programme
Training for Work is a voluntary training programme delivered by Skills Development Scotland on the Scottish Government's behalf. It offers a broad range of flexible training opportunities for adults (18 plus) who are unemployed and actively looking for work. In the majority of cases, the trainees move onto a full-time job.
Skillseekers and Modern Apprenticeships
Skillseekers is a programme to help young people get training that leads to Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) at the start of their working lives.
If you find a place on a Modern Apprenticeship you will be employed from the first day of your training. You’ll learn core skills such as computing and communication and theory and practical skills relevant to your job.
