Abel McBride

Hospital worker Abel McBride got into learning as part of an action plan to get into the jobs market and out of his isolated home life.

He began an ECDL course at Gorbals’ Learning Base and was training to return to work when he got a placement at Glasgow’s Victoria Infirmary.

Abel now works full time as a general services assistant at the hospital and he feels more confident and optimistic than he has for many years.
