James Simpson
James Simpson
James Simpson (41) left school at 16 and drifted into a negative lifestyle.
More recently, James discovered a thirst for learning – something that was inconceivable to him a few years ago.
He began working and training with The Wise Group and applied for a place on a course to become a drugs worker.
He got a job as a life coach on a new Routes Out Of Prison project, providing support to prisoners before and after they are released.
James has completed courses in advice and guidance, first aid and suicide intervention and – thanks to his new found self belief and confidence - is working towards an SVQ in health and social care.
James is the learndirect scotland Champion Learner of the Year 2006.
