Louise Milligan

Within 18 months, 22-year-old Louise Milligan became a manager, wife, mother of twins, homeowner, recovered from a serious illness, became a part-time worker and volunteer and achieved a Modern Apprenticeship.

Following the birth of her sons, Louise now sees a new career in childcare.

She volunteers at the learning support base in her local secondary school and does a weekly 24-hour shift as a foster parent in a special home for traumatised teenagers.

Louise is also events organiser for her local twins club. She hopes to do an Open University degree in social care.

Louise is the Young Learner of the Year 2006.
