Paddy Ward

Paddy Ward struggled at school and had to fend for himself when his father died.

He became dependant on alcohol and was bullied and terrorised by a group of casual acquaintances.

He faced serious physical and mental health issues but desperately wanted to retrain to get a job.

At Gorbals Library, Paddy has completed a variety of courses and is getting support with basic skills.

He is keen to start a certificated course in photography and is taking an E- Citizen course.

Learning has helped Paddy to regain his self-confidence, self-esteem and will to survive.
